Travel Universal BankerUnited Community Bank is looking for a full-time Travel Universal Banker. As a Travel Universal Banker, you will have the opportunity to deliver excellent experiences for customers and prospects. This position is cross trained to provide service for both the teller and platform responsibilities at our branch locations. In addition to assisting with everyday transactions, you will have the opportunity to help with customer resolution and financial wellness by having needs-based conversations and identifying appropriate solutions.The Traveling Universal Banker provides branch coverage within a designated market area as needed. This role includes an assigned home branch with periodic travel to other locations.What You'll DoThis position requires up to 100% travel within designated market areaMaintain extensive knowledge of retail bank products and services and look for opportunities to strengthen existing customer relationships and develop new relationships by understanding customers' needs while considering perspectives and priorities of different customersPromote, explain, open and renew (where applicable) financial institution services such as consumer loans (excluding real-estate loans), IRAs, Certificates of Deposit, safe deposit boxes, etc.Drive proactive needs-based sales conversations through interactions, including service to sales, teller interactions and appointment settingAssist customers financially by delivering loan products, while ensuring packages are correct and complete to minimize exceptionsPerform transactions of a paying and receiving teller such as receive checks for deposit to accounts, verify amounts, examine checks for proper endorsement, cash checks and process withdrawals; Place holds on accounts for uncollected funds, daily balancing of cash drawerEducate customers on options for managing transactions using technology and all other tools and resources availableApply product and service knowledge to effectively solve customer problemsAssist other staff in serving customers, answering telephones and performing other duties as necessaryRequirements For SuccessNMLS licenseMinimum 3 years of retail sales experience1+ years of experience working in a financial institutionAbility to work a flexible schedule and to accommodate travel to different branches as neededKnowledge of consumer credit structuring and lending practicesDemonstrated analytical, accuracy and problem-solving skillsStrong verbal and written interpersonal communication skillsExperience with using and demonstrating digital products and self-service technologiesConditions of EmploymentConditions of Employment:Must be able to pass a background and credit checkThis is a full-time non-remote positionFLSA Status:Non-ExemptReady to take your career to the next level?
