Licensed Practical Nurse, LPN

Provide professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long-term care under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician Demonstrate nursing principles and competency within the full scope of nursing expertise Perform testing to evaluate resident status and provide necessary care Recognize problems, recommend solutions, and respond effectively in emergent situations Ensure resident health, comfort, and safety Contribute to resident assessments and administer ordered medications or treatments Provide technical support to healthcare professionals Document resident interactions and outcomes related to care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary needs Establish and maintain effective relationships with residents, healthcare providers, and the public Work as a member of an interdisciplinary care team Communicate clearly and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Counsel residents, family members, and/or resident advocates under clinical supervision on prevention and treatment plans Develop self-care programs based on resident education principles Perform other related duties as assigned Requirements Travel required to support multiple locations within 75-mile radius of permanent address 3 months experience in Long Term Care required (6 months preferred) Minimum of 30 hours per month One weekend shift per month Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse Minimum of 18 years of age Pre-licensure nursing program including supervised clinical experience across the life span, or minimum of 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges Maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications Completes required annual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training requirements If position requires IV therapy/management skills in North Dakota: graduation from a Board approved AASPN program where IV therapy is part of the curriculum or completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing Core Competencies Demonstrates comprehensive nursing care for residents in long-term care settings, ensuring health, comfort, and safety while effectively collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. Holds a valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and maintains required competencies and continuing education.
