One of California’s premier trial firms is actively seeking a high-level Business Litigation Attorney to join its expanding litigation team. While the firm is open to attorneys across multiple sophisticated litigation practice areas, the immediate need is for a strong Commercial / Business Litigation Attorney with experience handling complex disputes from inception through trial.

Both plaintiff-side and defense-side attorneys are strongly encouraged to apply.

The firm is nationally recognized for handling high-stakes litigation and achieving record-setting verdicts, including Orange County’s largest jury verdict of $934 million. Attorneys here work alongside elite trial lawyers on sophisticated matters involving major companies, executives, and high-value disputes.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base Compensation: $225,000 – $375,000+

• Significant bonus and commission opportunities

Primary Focus – Business Litigation:

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience handling:

• Complex business disputes

• Breach of contract litigation

• Partnership/shareholder disputes

• Real estate and commercial litigation

• Trade secret matters

• Securities-related disputes

• High-exposure civil litigation matters

The firm is especially interested in attorneys who are comfortable taking ownership of sophisticated litigation matters, handling depositions and motion practice, and contributing to trial strategy in high-stakes cases.

Responsibilities:

• Manage complex litigation matters from inception through trial and appeal

• Handle discovery, depositions, mediations, and motion practice

• Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, and appellate briefs

• Develop litigation strategy alongside senior trial attorneys

• Communicate directly with sophisticated clients regarding exposure and strategy

• Mentor junior attorneys and collaborate across litigation teams

• Prepare cases for arbitration, mediation, and trial

Qualifications:

• Active California Bar license required

• 7–15+ years of complex litigation experience

• Strong background in Commercial / Business Litigation strongly preferred

• First or second-chair trial experience highly preferred

• Exceptional writing, analytical, and advocacy skills

• Experience handling sophisticated, high-value disputes

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, trial-focused environment
