Headquartered in Reston, Virginia, the M&T global business unit also includes colleagues working in Arizona, Ohio, Texas, India, and additional project locations around the world.Job Summary:In this position, you will lead a team to manage cost engineering, cost estimating, cost analysis/control, forecasting, and planning/scheduling activities for a project that requires technical skill and expertise. You will provide leadership, oversight, guidance, training, and mentoring to your team on key project procedures and risk management to ensure successful project execution and delivery.Major Responsibilities:Manages cost engineering, cost estimating, cost analysis/control, and planning/scheduling activities for a project, or for discipline/project/proposal estimating or staff planning activities that requires a high degree of technical skill and experienceDevelops the preparation and presentation of project/program estimates and cost forecastsSupports project/program organizational and administrative activitiesProvides generally non-routine cost engineering/planning and scheduling guidanceIdentifies and provides innovative solutions to cost engineering and planning/scheduling problemsReviews Earned Revenue Determination Data, Proposal Financial Summaries, Project Financial Status Reports, and Charge for Project Working Capital calculations for assigned project/programReviews contract drafts for adequacy of cost and scope definition and Project Controls requirementsCoordinates development of all data in support of negotiationsProvides oversight, training, mentoring, and ensures capability of Project Risk Coordinator(s) and Project Risk Specialist(s) in conducting PERM activities towards the attainment of project objectivesProvides leadership in terms of integrating the risk management process with other key project procedures (e.g., Change Management, Forecasting, Cost, Trends, and Claims and support corporateEducation and Experience Requirements:Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experienceRequired Knowledge and Skills:Strong communication skills to influence, drive and coach the team in effective change management at all stages of delivery.Demonstrated capability to interface with commercial and technical functions to effect baseline change management.Skilled in oral and written communication with demonstrated ability to present information to management and to the client.Significant engineering and construction management experience customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience.Demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing, and solving problems. Demonstrated skill in supporting and directing change management activities.Demonstrated experience in delivery, communication, and training of change management processes and procedures.Project Controls leadership experience on large projects.Proven track record of successful project change management and full exposure to project business case scrutiny processes and project controls practices (e.g., baseline trending).Experience implementing change management systems that complement contractual arrangements.EPC/EPCM experience on major programs.Experience in the semiconductor or manufacturing industry.Possess the right to remain and work in the US without sponsorship.Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check, which includes verification of employment and education.Total Rewards/Benefits:For decades, Bechtel has worked to inspire the next generation of employees and beyond!
