HIRING IMMEDIATELY: FORKLIFT OPERATOR IN JOLIET, IL

Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Forklift Operator to join our team in Joliet, IL. This individual is responsible for operating material handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise within the warehouse. The ideal candidate will ensure the safe and efficient use of forklifts and may also perform order filler or order checker duties as needed, while maintaining productivity, accuracy, and adherence to safety procedures. Pay, Schedule, and Location

• Starting at $21.75 to $22/hour, paid weekly
• Excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision
• 2nd and 3rd shifts schedules available
• Located in Joliet, IL

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operates all material handling equipment safely and efficiently, following established work practices and safety procedures
• Possesses basic understanding of equipment safety and adheres to all safety protocols
• Completes and documents required pre-operation inspection forms for equipment
• Stacks and stores merchandise in designated areas using forklift, clamp, or push-pull equipment
• Unloads inbound shipments safely and moves product to storage locations
• Pulls and prepares products for shipment in accordance with customer and operational requirements
• Verifies that the correct quantity and product type are loaded and shipped
• Performs order picking in an accurate, timely, and customer-service-focused manner

Requirements and Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Preferred 6 months of forklift operation experience and/or experience using warehouse distribution equipment
• Must qualify and pass forklift certification
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective customer service skills and basic math competencies
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 10-12 hours per shift
• Frequent bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching above the shoulder level & at shoulder level
