Technical Specialist / Patent Agent

Job Overview A law firm seeks a highly qualified Technical Specialist or Patent Agent to join their team in Los Angeles, CA. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in high-tech patent prosecution and demonstrate proficiency in patent searching and drafting IP-related opinions. Duties Conduct patent searches and draft patentability opinions. Prepare freedom‑to‑operate and other IP‑related opinions. Support complex patent prosecution matters. Requirements 2-5 years of experience in high‑tech patent prosecution. Proficiency in patent searching and drafting IP‑related opinions. Self‑motivated and collaborative with intellectual curiosity. Education Advanced degree in electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, data science, artificial intelligence, or a related technical field. Certifications Prior experience as a patent agent or in a law firm or industry setting is strongly preferred. Skills Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
