Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Travel Sterile Processing Technician to join a busy acute care surgical services department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the decontamination, inspection, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment while maintaining the highest standards of infection prevention and patient safety.

The department supports a variety of surgical specialties, including orthopedic trauma, total joints, robotic surgery, sports medicine, OB/GYN, urology, emergency services, and outpatient clinics. Candidates with experience processing robotic instrumentation and orthopedic sets are highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, package, and sterilize surgical instruments and trays.
• Operate sterilization equipment and monitor quality assurance processes.
• Process and maintain general, orthopedic, and robotic instrument sets.
• Ensure compliance with infection control and sterilization standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation and inventory of sterile supplies.
• Support Operating Room, Emergency Department, OB, and clinic services.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent Sterile Processing experience
• Current CRCST (HSPA) or CSPDT (CBSPD) certification
• Current AHA BLS certification
• Experience with orthopedic trauma and robotic instrumentation preferred
• Strong knowledge of sterilization techniques, instrument identification, and infection prevention practices
