Compensation: $31-$42/hour, compensation based on multiple factors Are you an A&P Mechanic ready for a new chapter in your aviation career? The Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM)—the largest aviation maintenance training school in the U.S.—is seeking experienced Aircraft Maintenance Technicians (AMTs), Aircraft Mechanics, and FAA-certified A&P Mechanics to join our team as instructors. If you have hands-on experience in aircraft maintenance and enjoy mentoring others, this is your opportunity to step out of the hangar and into a role where you can shape the next generation of aviation professionals. This opportunity is ideal for professionals exploring aviation mechanic jobs, aircraft maintenance careers, or instructor roles in aviation training. No prior teaching experience required. We provide a 5-day paid instructor training program to help you successfully transition into the classroom. Why Consider Teaching? - Deliver FAA-aligned curriculum to prepare students for A&P certification
- Demonstrate practical skills used by A&P mechanics and aviation technicians
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress
- Support curriculum updates and collaborate with program leadership
- Help create a structured, engaging, and safety-focused learning environment
- Maintain classroom, lab equipment, and training materials
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate degree in aviation or related field preferred
- Minimum 3 years of aircraft maintenance experience
- Background as an A&P Mechanic, Aircraft Mechanic, or Aviation Maintenance
- Strong knowledge of aircraft systems and aviation maintenance procedures
- Interest in mentoring, coaching, and developing others
- Ability to work in a structured, compliance-driven training environment
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams,
