We lean on our colleagues for their expertise and hold each other accountable.What you'll be doingEngage with business collaborators and customers to grasp their challenges and requirementsDefine the product from a requirements perspective and analyze it for riskTranslate customer needs, business constraints, and regulatory requirements into functional and performance requirementsCollaborate with system architects and engineers to ensure the requirements define major modules, concepts, intended environments, and the relationships between themEnsure robust, reliable, and secure system interfaces and integrationsDevelop and maintain the functional specification documentation in a lightweight and concise format, while still being thorough and detailedCoordinate maintenance of the risk management plan, including the risk analysis, by identifying and mitigating hazards associated with a designEvaluate risk by using methodologies such as DFMEA and Risk/Hazard AnalysisWhat you'll bring5+ years experience in a Systems Engineer, Business Analyst, System Analyst, or similar requirements definition roleBS Degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc.) or equivalent experienceExperience working on complex hardware and software projects involving embedded systems, network communications, and web servicesAbove average verbal and written communication skillsSkilled at leading meetings, conflict resolution, and making presentationsStrategic problem solver who can complete tasks with great attention to detailMust be able to work in the absence of complete information and remain able to make timely, high-quality decisionsBaxter is committed to supporting the needs for flexibility in the workplace. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $104,000-$143,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
