Summary

The successful Machinist Operations Supervisor directs and coordinates activities of production department(s) in processing materials or manufacturing products in industrial organization. Join our growing team today!

What you’ll do 

• Reviews production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types,
• quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations.
• Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
• Ensure production and quality of products meets specifications.
• Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
• Promotes safety, ensures safety policies are being followed and reporting incidents immediately to the Safety Manager and into the safety portal
• Develop or revise standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.

What you’ll need 

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering a plus but not required
• 5+ years of experience in Industrial Manufacturing/Repair
• Self-motivation to identify, analyze and independently work to complete task
• Demonstrated proficiency in supporting corporate interest from remote site locations and ability to communicate and exercise very positive people skills.
• Converting metric and standard measurements
• Ability to set up and operate both CNC and manual machinery for use in metal working applications
• Interpret assembly and blueprint drawings
• Knowledge of welding
