Company Extended Care Clinical, LLC Location Evanston, IL Job Type Full-Time Salary $65,000–$85,000 annually Key Responsibilities Perform full-cycle accounting, including general ledger, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Prepare and review monthly financial statements and supporting schedules. Review work prepared by junior accounting staff for accuracy and completeness. Analyze account activity and investigate discrepancies and unusual transactions. Review balance sheet and income statement accounts and supporting documentation. Investigate significant variances and communicate findings to management. Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close. Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash, accruals, prepaid expenses, and fixed assets. Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules. Ensure accounting records comply with GAAP and company policies. Support annual audits and provide requested documentation. Work closely with accounting staff and management to resolve issues and meet deadlines. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2–3+ years of progressive accounting experience. Direct long-term care, skilled nursing, senior living, or healthcare accounting experience required. Strong full-cycle accounting experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication and organizational skills.
