The ideal candidate will be required to assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement care plans, and maintain medical records. Job Quick Facts: Profession: Nurse Practitioner Location: Waverly and Haynesville, Virginia Shift schedule: Mon-Fri, 5x8-hour shifts or 4x10-hour shifts Requirements: Responsibilities: Works independently with minimal supervision to perform physical examinations and preventive health measures. Responds to and initiates care for medical emergencies throughout the facility. Order and perform diagnostic procedures. Prescribe controlled substances and devices in accordance with current regulations. Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records. Provides education to patient, healthcare, and correctional staff. Additional duties as assigned by facility.
