Data Architect

Insight Global is seeking a Principal Data Engineer / Architect to help build and support our People Data architecture, with a focus on Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI), Oracle Fusion HCM data, Databricks, and Power BI. This role will be responsible for connecting source systems, governed data models, reporting layers, and analytics products into a scalable and secure enterprise data ecosystem. Responsibilities Lead technical initiatives related to Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence, including configuration, validation, security alignment, and analytics enablement. Design and maintain enterprise data architecture across Oracle Fusion HCM, FDI, Databricks, Power BI, and downstream reporting platforms. Build, optimize, and support scalable data pipelines using Databricks, PySpark, SQL, and Delta Lake technologies. Partner with HRIS, IT, analytics teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to deliver trusted data solutions. Develop data models, source-to-target mappings, lineage documentation, governed metrics, and reporting-ready datasets. Implement data quality standards, monitoring processes, governance controls, and issue-resolution workflows. Ensure secure handling of sensitive employee data through role-based security, PII protection, and auditability controls. Mentor engineers and analysts on architecture, engineering best practices, governance, and documentation standards. Required Qualifications 5-10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, Analytics Engineering, or a related technical data role. Experience with Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI), Oracle Fusion Analytics, Oracle Analytics Cloud, or similar enterprise analytics platforms. Strong expertise in Databricks, PySpark, SQL, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and cloud data engineering practices. Experience designing enterprise data models, semantic layers, governed metrics, and reporting-ready datasets. Proven ability to collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and governance partners to deliver scalable data solutions. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with Oracle Fusion HCM data, HR reporting, workforce analytics, or people in data domains. Oracle FDI, Oracle Analytics, OCI, Databricks, or Azure Data Engineering certifications. Experience supporting workforce analytics, payroll, benefits, talent management, or compliance reporting initiatives. Experience with CI/CD, Git, Azure DevOps, Terraform, dbt, or similar engineering tools. Experience supporting AI/ML initiatives or predictive analytics on governed enterprise data.
