Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30, requiring 2 of 3 holidays to be worked.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced PICU RN with a strong background in cardiac care. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of critical care experience, specifically in pediatric intensive care, with documented cardiac experience. This role involves caring for infants, adolescents, and pediatric patients, providing advanced nursing support in a demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients.
• Administer medications and IV therapies, including blood product administration and TPN/lipids management.
• Manage respiratory and airway support, including BiPAP/CPAP and ventilator care.
• Assist in specialty procedures such as lumbar puncture and dialysis.
• Monitor hemodynamics and interpret dysrhythmias and telemetry data.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active NJ or Compact RN license.
• Certifications: BLS, PALS (NRP preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of PICU critical care experience with at least 1 year of cardiac experience.
• Experience with EPIC charting system required.
• Knowledge of pediatric dosage calculations and Broselow system.
