Housekeeper PositionProgram/Location: High Point Inpatient Campus - Hyannis, MA Education: High School diploma, GED or equivalent preferred Pay Range: $20-24/hr depending on experience Status: Full Time, Part Time, or Per Diem Shift: All Shifts available!About UsHigh Point & Affiliated Organizations is a health and human service agency whose mission is to treat and prevent substance use disorders and mental illness. High Point has programs located throughout Southeastern Massachusetts offering a full continuum of care for substance use and mental health treatment, including inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community-based services. Our goal is to help individuals and families achieve personal change and improve their quality of life.Housekeeper RequirementsMust always present as courteous and professional;Demonstrated flexibility and ability to perform multiple tasks;Must have basic communication skills;Must be able to effectively communicate in English. This includes the ability to speak, read and understand English sufficiently to follow instructions, complete documentation, and ensure safe and effective performance of duties;Must have the ability to work with others in a cooperative and collaborative manner;A basic understanding of boundaries and ethics;Comply with Federal Regulations, 42 CFR Part 2, Confidentiality of Alcohol Abuse Policy and HIPAA Regulations;TB Screening;Certification in the HPAO approved de-escalation program;CPR Certification.Housekeeper Duties & ResponsibilitiesEnsures patient rooms, bathrooms, community areas, staff offices, group rooms, nursing stations, corridors, stairwells, etc., are clean, properly disinfected, sanitized, and free of odor at all times;Wet mops daily or as needed;Attend to spills immediately;Empty trash and clean containers;Clean floor edges and corners to prevent build-up;Clean windows, windowsills and other furnishings;Knowledge of chemical handling and Safety Data Sheets (SDS);Knowledge of chemical ingredients, mixing dangers and proper storage;Knowledge of OSHA safety precautions;Knowledge of Infection Control Standards – Hand Washing, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Blood spill kits, etc.;General knowledge of proper cleaning procedures, disinfecting, etc.;Replaces soiled linen, as needed, in patient rooms;Handles all Bio-Hazard;Utilize standard precautions at all times;Demonstrates behaviors that recognize the rights of patients/clients as defined by the patient's right;Coordinates with MHS/RS staff to maintain accurate linen and scrubs inventory;Attend all unit, facility meeting and supervisions as directed by Supervisor;Attend mandatory trainings;Other duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor, Program Director, or COO.Housekeeper QualificationsMust be no less than 18 years of age;High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent preferred.BenefitsMedical InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceLong & short term disabilityDiscounted auto/home and renters insurance403b - RetirementFSA & DSAPMLAEmployee Assistance ProgramBonuses & ReferralEligibility for free classes to become a Licensed Counselor or Recovery CoachEducation days to use towards CEU'sFree meals at select programs and when availableUnmatched Leave Time (FT employees can earn up to 3 weeks in first year)Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
