Accredited Medical Records Technician

Position Overview
Performs the coding function on all discharged inpatients and outpatients in a competent, efficient, reliable and timely fashion. Customers include physicians, health information management staff, insurance companies and reviewers.

Compensation Range:
$21.31 - $30.90 per hour, depending on experience

Education/Experience

Minimum Required:

• High School Diploma or GED with two (2) years of work related training or experience in coding
• Experience with encoder systems and computer information systems

License/Certification

Minimum Required:

• Active Credentialed Status as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) and Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)
