Nurse Manager (Back Office) - (Hybrid) - Gastroenterology/General GI

Position Summary Provides leadership, supervision, and coordination of patient care staff and patient treatment. The Nurse Manager collaborates with the Nurse Administrator to apply clinical and operational management skills to meet established quality, patient satisfaction, and financial goals of the unit/department. The position offers a hybrid schedule. Scheduled Hours 40 hours per week Primary Duties & Responsibilities Coordinates patient services with physicians and staff to ensure quality care delivery. Collaborates with the Nurse Administrator to review, assist, and promote compliant policies and procedures. Assists in preparing and controlling the department operational budget; monitors supplies, equipment ordering, and repairs. Directs, assigns, and coordinates staff activities; evaluates performance, orients new staff, and advises administration of staff conditions. Coordinates staff continuing education, in‑service, quality improvement activities, and meetings. Provides direct patient care, including developing patient care plans, administering medication, monitoring IV therapies, and maintaining records per approved nursing techniques. Promotes and maintains good public relations with patients and families, acting as liaison to other departments. Acts as troubleshooter, contact person, counselor, and interviewer for patient care research projects, maintaining appropriate records. Other duties as assigned. Certifications / Professional Licenses Basic Life Support – American Heart Association, American Red Cross Registered Nurse – Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation Registered Nurse – Missouri Division of Professional Registration Work Experience Clinical experience, 3 years required.
