Role Objective The Visual Manager is a member of the store leadership team who develops and implements ALO’s visual and product strategy within the store. This individual is passionate about planning, product knowledge, data analysis, and visual execution with a focus on driving efficient and effective visual merchandising. The primary goal is to keep the store customer‑ready at all times, requiring constant movement in and around the sales floor and back‑of‑house areas. Responsibilities Business Leader: Represent the business in meetings and on conference calls; manage the budget, reporting, and other business data; protect optimal performance; communicate ALO’s mission and guiding principles to guests; lead a team through accountability, coaching, and development; establish internal and external pipelines through succession planning and recruitment. Flow Experience Leader: Oversee execution of deliverables on the sales floor, achieving KPIs while protecting operational efficiency and visual sets; collaborate with the General/Store Manager’s vision and work cross‑functionally with business partners; navigate organizational balance between business needs and brand culture. People Leader: Ensure the Visual team embodies ALO’s mission and principles; elevate effective communication throughout Operations and Visual teams; support team development and coaching. Oversee and support execution of key operational and visual processes. Champion strong visual standards for the sales floor by leveraging performance data. Lead strategic product presentation and merchandising, ensuring product recovery, restock, and destock, and making visual changes in partnership with the General/Store Manager. Plan visual floor changes through payroll management and adapt visual support to business needs. Own visual direction from planning to execution to meet company expectations, budgets, and timelines. Utilize reporting tools in partnership with management to identify business opportunities with product placement, outfitting, and stock levels; implement changes as necessary. Qualifications 3‑5 years of retail or related industry leadership experience. Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Extraordinary interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Agile, able to handle multiple tasks in a changing environment. Independent work ethic, time‑management skills, and personal accountability. Alignment with and embodiment of ALO’s Guiding Principles. Ability to lift, push, carry, or otherwise move up to 50 pounds. Ability to lift, bend, kneel, climb, crawl, twist, and safely climb up/down a ladder. Ability to stand and move for an entire shift. Constant movement in and around all areas of the store. Schedule Full‑time employees are expected to have open availability and to work variable shifts, including peak days, weekends, and the company’s blackout period from the week of American Thanksgiving (including Black Friday and Thanksgiving weekend) through the first week of January. Visual Managers are eligible for the Company’s Monthly Store Incentive bonus program, which may increase total compensation.
