Job Title: Cook (PRN)

Pay: $18-$19 per hour

Location: Prince George County Facility 3000 Lottsford Vista Road Bowie, MD

JOB SUMMARY:

The Cook plays a vital role in ensuring that meals are prepared and served in accordance with established policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare, cook, and serve food in alignment with organizational policies and quality standards.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe kitchen environment at all times.
• Comply with food safety standards and guidelines during all phases of food handling.
• Complete required documentation, including food and equipment temperature logs.
• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and equipment, returning them to proper storage areas as needed.
• Assist in the proper receiving, rotating, and storage of food and supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Previous food service experience preferred.
• ServSafe Certification preferred.

Employment Information:

Due to the nature of food service work and our commitment to ensuring safety and quality, candidates selected for hire must successfully pass a criminal background check and any required state-mandated clearances. Employment is contingent upon meeting all screening requirements in accordance with federal, state, and accrediting-body regulations.
