Family Physician - FFS

Job Description PRAIRIE MOUNTAIN HEALTH is seeking a Family Physician to provide temporary physician relief services in multiple locations within the region. Duties include performing all duties associated with a family practice, diagnosing and treating diseases, physiological disorders, and injuries of patients, acting as the primary care provider and providing continuous care toward the management of patients’ health. The physician will also share in the Emergency Department on‑call schedule and will cooperate and coordinate coverage with other physician colleagues. Wage Rate Compensation is fee‑for‑service and Emergency Department coverage stipends as per the Doctors Manitoba and Manitoba Health, Seniors and Active Living negotiated rates. Overview Language: English. Education: Degree in Medicine. Experience: Experience an Asset. On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. No option to work remotely. Work setting: Private practice, Rural area. Credentials Doctor of Medicine degree. Current licensure or eligible for full license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba. Member of CMPA or provide proof of equivalent malpractice insurance. Ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population. Demonstrated ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the job. Demonstrated ability to respect confidentiality including paper, electronic formats and other mediums. Good work and attendance record. Experience and Specialization Specialization in: Family Physician. Security and Safety Complete and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Search, Adult Abuse Registry Check and Child Abuse Registry Check, as appropriate. All Health Care workers are required to be immunized as a condition of employment in accordance with the Prairie Mountain Health policy. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six months prior to the start of employment.
