Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Job Coach to assist individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving their employment goals. The Job Coach will provide job development, coaching, and ongoing support services to ensure successful job placements and long-term vocational success. This role involves active engagement in the community to build employment opportunities and establish valuable connections.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist program participants in developing, implementing, monitoring, and updating Person-Centered Plans (PCPs) with specific vocational goals.
• Provide job coaching, follow-along support, and ongoing job assistance to address employment barriers.
• Identify and seek employment opportunities and community connections throughout the workweek.
• Complete and submit daily and/or monthly attendance records and reports for each participant.
• Act as a liaison between the program participant and their DORS counselor, CCS, employer, and family, as required.
• Actively participate in PCP/Individual Team Meetings (Annual and Interim) to support employment progress.
• Assist participants in obtaining necessary employment-related supports such as transportation, assistive technology, and reasonable accommodations.
• Stay informed on local labor market trends to enhance job placement opportunities.
• Provide mobility training as assigned.

• Passion for working with and supporting adults with developmental disabilities.
• Energetic, enthusiastic, patient, and understanding approach.
• Ability to collaborate with other staff to address participants' physical, social-emotional, and behavioral needs.
• Commitment to upholding individuals' rights and self-determination.
• Strong organizational skills, documentation abilities, and the capability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to follow both written and oral instructions and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Certifications: ACRE Certified; Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP) certification (or must obtain within one year of hire).
• Experience: Minimum one (1) year working with individuals with disabilities. Experience in sales, marketing, job recruitment, or placement is preferred.
• Technical Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills; basic computer proficiency.
• Other Requirements:
  • Must have a reliable vehicle to visit job seekers and job sites.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule and be self-motivated.
