Regulatory Specialist I

Regulatory Specialist 1 Primary focus on preparing regulatory documentation and addressing technical product inquiries, ensuring flavors comply with industry standards and customer requirements. Roles and Responsibilities Documentation & Compliance: Prepare standard regulatory documents, complete detailed customer questionnaires, and answer technical product inquiries in a timely manner. Data Management: Support the collection, organization, and review of raw material supplier documentation while ensuring data is accurately entered into applicable systems. Research & Insights: Research various regulatory topics and regulations to stay ahead of industry shifts and emerging market trends. Continuous Process Improvement: Contribute to the evolution of internal regulatory programs to increase efficiency and reliability. Certification Support: Assist with on-site audits and internal programs for facility certifications including Kosher, Halal, Organic, and Fairtrade. Customer Engagement: Maintain professional, courteous communication with both internal teams and external customers. Sensory: Participate in Synergy’s organoleptic evaluation program. Adaptability: Execute additional duties and departmental projects as needed by the department manager. Qualifications & Skills Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline such as Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, or related field. Experience: 1‑3 years in a regulatory or technical role, ideally within the flavor or food ingredient industry. Digital Proficiency: Knowledge in Microsoft Windows Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Power BI). Experience with Product Vision, TraceGains, Microsoft Dynamics365, and Intelligent Authoring highly preferred. Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills, with a proven ability to handle direct customer inquiries. Core Strengths: Sharp attention to detail, superior time‑management, and the ability to multitask in an ever‑changing environment. Mindset: A positive, flexible attitude with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Compensation Starting Salary: $59,000 to $80,000 per year, depending on geography, skills, education, experience, and other relevant factors. This role will remain open until filled.
