About the Position
We are seeking a reliable CDL A Driver for a dedicated, local route transporting refrigerated trailers between St. Louis and Beardstown, Illinois. This is a heavy-touch position focused on safe, timely, and professional transportation service.
Pay & Schedule Details
- Pay: $30 per hour
- Schedule: Monday through Friday
- Hours: 5:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Daily driving time: 10–11 hours per day
Job Details
- Route: St. Louis to Beardstown, Illinois
- Freight: Food, frozen meat
- Equipment: Class A commercial vehicle
- Handling: Heavy Touch
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle.
- Perform drop-and-hook operations
- Transport freight safely, on time, and without preventable incidents.
- Maintain open and effective communication with dispatch.
- Provide positive, safe, and professional customer experiences.
- Build and maintain strong communication and rapport with customers.
Minimum Requirements
- Valid, current CDL A.
- 1+ year of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
