We are seeking a Multifunction Device (MFD) Analyst-Field Technician to join our team!

Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Multifunction Device (MFD) Analyst to support the setup, configuration, and basic user training of all-in-one office devices (copiers, printers, and fax machines). This is a field-based, contract (1099) role requiring travel primarily within the Springfield area, with occasional assignments throughout the state.

This position is ideal for individuals with hands-on technical aptitude, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and deploy multifunction devices (copier, printer, fax) at client locations.
• Perform basic network setup and ensure devices are fully operational.
• Provide end-user training on standard features (printing, scanning, copying, faxing).
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic functionality issues during installation.
• Ensure a clean, professional installation.
• Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams regarding project status.
• Document installation details and completion reports.

Qualifications

• Basic technical aptitude with office equipment, IT hardware, or similar systems.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to explain technical concepts in simple, user-friendly terms.
• Comfortable working independently in a field environment.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to travel frequently within Illinois.

Preferred (Not Required):

• Experience with copiers, printers, or managed print services.
• Basic networking knowledge (IP configuration, connectivity).

Travel Requirements

• Travel is a core part of this role
• Majority of work is based in the Springfield area, with assignments statewide
• All travel expenses covered , including:
• • Mileage / vehicle usage
  • Gas
  • Hotel accommodations and meals (as needed)
