RESPONSIBILITIES: Function as an itinerant clinician to provide appropriate "educational model" occupational therapy services for identified students. Collaborate with teachers and school staff to provide integrated programs for special education students. Determine through occupational therapy evaluation procedures appropriate model and level of service required for each student. Document student progress with periodic updates. Keep accurate records on caseload including attendance. Willing to work with students preschool-age through 21 years, with a variety of disabilities. Willing to collaborate with regular and special education teachers to provide integrated educational programming. EXPERIENCE: Experience in public school system occupational therapy program or pediatrics preferred. QUALIFICATIONS: Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure. Must be registered nationally as qualified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT), or completion of registration upon employment. Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education, or in any other content area, is preferred but not required.
