Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough intake assessments to evaluate clients' mental health concerns, strengths, and needs.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual, group, and family therapy, utilizing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy.

• Systematically monitor and document client progress during therapy sessions, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to ensure effective outcomes.

• Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists, primary care providers, and case managers to coordinate comprehensive and integrated care for clients.

• Advocate for clients' rights, promoting access to appropriate mental health services and community resources as needed.

• Uphold strict confidentiality standards and adhere to ethical practices as outlined by relevant state licensing boards and professional organizations.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on clients dealing with a variety of mental health challenges, particularly mood disorders. You will work with a diverse population ranging from children and adolescents to adults and families, helping them navigate issues such as depression, anxiety, and emotional regulation. Your role will be instrumental in creating an environment that fosters trust and openness, enabling clients to engage deeply in the therapeutic process.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.

• Minimum of two years of post-licensure experience specializing in the treatment of mood disorders is highly preferred.

• Proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities, particularly CBT and DBT, tailored for mood disorders.

• A strong understanding of psychopharmacology and the capacity to work collaboratively with psychiatrists and medical professionals.

• A demonstrated record of effectively achieving positive treatment outcomes for clients facing mood disorders.

Compensation and Benefits\n
