CableSouth Construction is hiring Underground Utility Construction Workers to join our growing construction crews. This is a hands-on, outdoor position working alongside experienced utility construction professionals to build and maintain critical underground infrastructure. You'll assist with excavation, trenching, underground utility installation, equipment, job-site restoration, and other construction activities. Construction or utility experience is preferred, but we're also interested in dependable, hardworking candidates who are willing to learn.

Daily responsibilities may include:

• Assist with excavation, trenching, and backfilling
• Help install, maintain, and repair underground utility infrastructure
• Use hand tools and power tools safely
• Assist equipment operators and other crew members
• Load, unload, and move construction materials
• Prepare job sites for underground construction
• Assist with job-site cleanup and restoration
• Inspect and maintain tools and equipment
• Follow utility markings, job plans, and crew instructions
• Work safely around trenches, construction equipment, and underground utilities
• Follow all company and job-site safety procedures
• Work closely with your crew to complete projects safely and efficiently

Required:

• Valid driver's license
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work
• Ability to lift and move construction materials and equipment
• Dependable transportation and reliable attendance
• Willingness to work as part of a construction crew
• Strong commitment to job-site safety

Preferred, But Not Required:

• Previous construction experience
• Underground utility experience
• Telecom or fiber construction experience
• Trenching or excavation experience
• Experience using construction hand and power tools
• Knowledge of underground utility safety procedures
• First Aid/CPR certification
• Orange Card

This is an active construction position. Candidates must be comfortable:

• Performing repetitive physical tasks
• Lifting and carrying heavy materials as required
