Maintenance Technician A & B

Transdev in Milwaukee, WI is seeking an experienced A-Level and B- Level Automotive Mechanic to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining our uniform fleet of gas powered shuttle-style vehicles used in paratransit operations. As an Automotive Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our gas-powered assets.

Transdev is proud to offer: 

· Mechanic A $27.25 / hour - $34.00 / hour, depending on experience and ASE certifications.

· Mechanic B $24.50 / hour - $30.50 / hour, depending on experience and ASE certifications.

· 1st and 2nd shift Available

Key Responsibilities:

· Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues and determine necessary repairs on gasoline engines.

· Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.

· Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and accurate repairs

· Complete preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections. 

· Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on gasoline engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.

· Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, assisting them in developing their skills and knowledge.

· Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

· 2+ years of experience required, 5+ years for A level Mechanic

· ASE certifications required program (Brakes, suspension and steering); ASE certification program provided must be completed within 6 months.

· Hourly pay bonus for maintaining each ASE certification

· Mechanic’s Tool Set, Yearly tool reimbursement

· Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule 1 drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

· Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.

· Work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.
