RCP I-Cardiopulmonary, Per Diem, Night Shift

JOB TITLE : Respiratory Care Practitioner I

REPORTS TO : Manager of Cardiopulmonary Services

POSITION SUMMARY : Under the direction and authorization of the medical director and cardiopulmonary supervisor, RCP I is responsible for performing respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the physician. Emphasis will be toward the assessment, planning, implementation and documentation of care, with consideration of age and population-specific needs and requirements of the patient. Performs all other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE : Associate degree in respiratory therapy required. If Associate degree not obtained, high school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of one year of critical care experience from newborn to geriatric preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Current Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure in the State of California. CRT or RRT preferred. Current BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP required.
