Program Coordinator Vermont Law School South, Royalton, Vermont, United States About this position Full-time, non-exempt, 37.5 hours per week $22–27 per hour On-Campus Reports to: Director, Institute for Energy and the Environment (IEE) Benefits Full benefits (medical, dental, vision, etc.) 403(b) with 4% employer contribution 2 weeks of paid vacation plus paid personal and sick days 11 paid holidays and additional paid days off for Summer and Winter breaks Employee Assistance Program VLGS course participation with tuition assistance Flexible schedule potential Position Summary The Institute for Energy and the Environment (IEE) at Vermont Law and Graduate School leads the nation in preparing students for the clean energy transition. The IEE offers extensive clean energy courses, renewable energy experiential opportunities, research options, and operates a vibrant student‑staffed energy clinic. The Program Coordinator will support the IEE’s core functions: maintaining relationships with other VLGS departments, assisting students before and after their arrival, ensuring smooth operation of the energy program, and fostering communications with external organizations and constituencies. Key Duties and Responsibilities Embrace and support the mission of the IEE and VLGS. Coordinate and support all operations of the IEE. Plan and organize IEE events, including the Annual Alumni in Energy Symposium at Climate Week NYC. Perform administrative tasks: track the program budget, maintain records, and provide support to faculty and fellows. Draft and facilitate IEE communications: annual reports, press releases, newsletters, website content, and social media. Conduct energy law and policy research as assigned by the Director. Proofread and edit final reports and communications. Assist with fundraising, grant management, and reporting. Collaborate and represent the IEE with other VLGS departments, current and prospective students, partner organizations, visiting faculty, and scholars. Support the Campus Sustainability Committee, including development of decarbonization initiatives. Track campus electricity, generation, and heating fuel consumption data. Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Director. Education, Skills and Experience Bachelor’s degree plus 2–4 years of relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Highly organized. Ability to take on projects with minimal supervision and meet deadlines. Excellent writing, grammar, and editing skills. Ability to work well with a diverse group of people in a variety of settings and as part of a collaborative team. Interest in environmental and energy issues and familiarity with an academic setting. Other Requirements Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines and reorganize under pressure. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Excellent planning, administrative, and interpersonal communication skills. Must be able to work legally within the United States without sponsorship. Ability to perform all essential functions of the job with or without basic accommodations.
