NextGen’s practice in AI/ML Engineering is growing. As such, we are seeking to hire an AI/ML Engineering with experience to support the iterative creation of AI/ML product models for the DoD. This engineer will collaborate to solve complex technical tasks while becoming experts within the AI/ML environment. Establish and grow your Software engineering career with NextGen today!

Responsibilities

• Work alongside a team to develop discriminative and generative AI/ML models to support the analytic mission
• Will work closely with the product owner across functional team of SMEs, and product owners to align with the team objectives while creating optimized AI/ML models
• Work to create AI/ML model utilization, availability, access and data utilization, availability, and access for AI/ML models
• Design, develop, and implement AI/ML models using appropriate tools and techniques
• Develop user interfaces to enable the exchange of information directly related to AI/ML across web applications
• Develop interfaces to enable the exchange of metadata related to AI/ML models and providers via web applications
• Provide enablement support for AI/ML Services to the team
• Develop an automated process for the workforce team to gain access LLM models
• Work successfully and collaborate effectively within a highly technical agile team environment and contribute to team workflows, tools, and documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or similar
• 7+ years of AI/ML engineering experience
• Ability to analyze problems with a flexible and creative approach, manage complex tasks and adapt to rapidly changing requirements
• Familiarity with AI/ML based systems and understanding model values and data driven analysis
• Knowledge/familiarity with AI/ML algorithms including Linear Regression, Decision Trees, Random Forests, Neural networks, and Dijkstra's
• Ability to learn new technologies rapidly and implement in a dynamic environment
• Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and customer-facing skills

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with one or more of the following programming languages: Java, Python, C++, SQL
• Experience with one or more of the following: AWS, Azure, Git
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility
