Healthcare Accountant

Location: Brooklyn, NY (preferred) / Lakewood, NJ (flexible) Reports To: CFO & CEO Compensation: $200K - $250K based on experience Position Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Healthcare Accountant with nursing home experience to join our growing organization. This role is critical in transitioning outsourced accounting functions in-house and building scalable financial infrastructure to support rapid expansion across multiple facilities. Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate and timely financial statements for multiple nursing home facilities Develop and implement accounting systems, processes, and reporting infrastructure from the ground up Create detailed, building-level financial reports to track revenue, expenses, and variances Ensure transparency in financial performance, answering key questions around profitability and cost drivers Integrate accounting processes with existing software and operational systems Collaborate with third-party billing providers to ensure alignment and data accuracy Assist in building and scaling the internal accounting function to support portfolio growth Partner directly with executive leadership on reporting and team development Qualifications Minimum 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in healthcare or nursing home environments Experience with nursing home accounting strongly preferred; familiarity with Apex is a plus CPA preferred but not required Strong financial reporting and analytical skills Tech-savvy with experience implementing or working with accounting systems and Excel-based reporting Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and evolving environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Why Join Us Opportunity to build accounting infrastructure from the ground up Be part of a rapidly growing healthcare platform High-impact role with strong long-term growth potential #J-18808-Ljbffr Topaz HR Advisory
