Manufacturing Process Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team. This role involves troubleshooting and resolving production issues, enhancing manufacturing processes, and collaborating with suppliers to improve quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve production problems related to designs, materials, or processes.
• Identify and implement improvements to manufacturing processes or products to enhance quality, reliability, or reduce costs.
• Apply continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Kaizen, and Six Sigma to optimize manufacturing performance.
• Provide technical expertise and support for manufacturing activities.
• Collaborate with suppliers on manufacturing projects.

Essential Skills

• Strong knowledge of engineering principles and their practical application in manufacturing, including mechanical engineering and plastic processing.
• Proficiency in design techniques, including GD&T, and experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and CATIA.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, raw materials, quality control, and cost optimization techniques.
• Experience with ERP systems like SAP.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels.
• Ability to work under deadlines and collaborate within cross-functional teams.
• Commitment to high standards of quality and continuous improvement.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology with 2+ years of related experience, OR a Master's Degree in a relevant field.

Work Environment

This position is based in an onsite office environment but requires hands-on involvement with the production floor. The majority of the time will be spent in the office, with daily visits to the production floor. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of McPherson, KS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $55.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
