Registered Respiratory Therapist Opportunity

We're hiring an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist for a hospital in Loxahatchee, FL where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current state RRT license in good standing.
• Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.
• Minimum of 2 years of current acute care hospital RRT experience.
• Experience with oxygen cylinders and concentrators, nebulizers, suction machines, CPAP and BiPAP equipment.
• Meditech experience preferred by the director. (Preferred)
• Stroke education/experience and NRP are preferred. (Preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a 12-bed acute care or similar medical/surgical unit.
• Demonstrated ability to work in team-oriented, fast-paced environments and collaborate with physicians.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 1900 - 07:30.
• Night shift staffing model varies with volume; on-call team involvement may occur.
• Typical patient ratios range from 1:1 to 2:1.
• EMR: Meditech.
