Experienced Meat Cutter WantedCarlie C's IGA is seeking an experienced meat cutter to fill an immediate opening. Only candidates with prior experience in all cuts of beef, pork, and chicken in a grocery store meat market environment will be considered. The ideal candidate is proficient in using band saws, slicers, cubers, grinders, and knives to cut all cuts of beef, pork, and chicken. Wrapping skills are also required, as well as maintaining all sanitation and safety requirements. This is a full-time position with optional company benefits. The candidate will be required to work 40 hours per week, which will include weekend work and most holidays.A meat cutter at Carlie C's IGA realizes that providing prompt and friendly customer service is priority number one. Being courteous and cooperative with both customers and coworkers is a critical aspect of maximizing sales and building business for years to come.DutiesCutting, grinding, slicing, trimming, weighing, sealing, packaging, and labeling product.Unloading trucks, storing in proper place. Checking product dates, rotating properly.Sanitizing and cleaning equipment. Keeping meat department floors clean of clutter.Assisting customers in finding products; waiting on them at the counter timely and cheerfully.QualificationsMust be able to lift 80 lbs with no assistance.Must be at least 18 years of age, friendly, outgoing, neat, and clean in appearance.Must enjoy working with the public.Must be very customer oriented.Must be able to read shelf tags, labels, and signs.Must have a good work record as a meat cutter.
