Registered Nurse (RN) | Women's Center

Job Summary Location: Avera Queen of Peace Hospital. Worker Type: Regular. Work Shift: Rotating days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays (United States of America). Pay Range: $32.00 – $48.00 per hour, based on experience. Shift Differential: $3.00 for hours worked 7 p.m.–7 a.m., $2.00 on weekends, and $5.00 on weekend nights. Responsibilities Provide patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions and communicating the nursing care plan to the health care team. Coordinate with physicians and other health care providers to deliver comprehensive care. Develop nursing care plans, including obtaining medical histories, assessing patients, and establishing nursing diagnoses. Instruct patients, families, and friends on health conditions, medication regimens, and self‑care skills. Evaluate patient progress by applying therapeutic standards and adjusting the care plan as needed. Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by adhering to infection‑control policies, medication administration protocols, and controlled‑substance regulations. Document patient care services accurately in patient and department records. Ensure patient‑care equipment is operational, troubleshoot issues, maintain supplies, and manage preventive maintenance. Maintain competency in nursing practices as outlined by leadership and continuing education requirements. Essential Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) with an active state board license upon hire. Ability to work the specified hours, maintain visual acuity, and communicate effectively with patients and team members. Preferred Qualifications One to three years of clinical experience in a clinical environment.
