Job Title

Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Telemetry, Nights

Location

Scranton, Pennsylvania

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Night Shift, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every Other Weekend and Every Other Holiday | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care for general medical, surgical, short-stay, orthopedic, and stroke patients
• Monitor and care for remote telemetry patients as part of a 1:6 patient ratio on a 30-bed unit
• Perform EKG interpretation, IV insertion, Foley insertion, and medication administration
• Conduct point-of-care testing including blood glucose monitoring
• Complete thorough assessment documentation using Cerner EMR
• Assist with rapid sequence intubation (RSI) and adhere to floating requirements as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1–2 years of Medical Surgical experience
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current NIHSS certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Cerner EMR
• Prior experience with telemetry-monitored patients or stroke patient populations
• Familiarity with orthopedic or post-surgical patient care
