Job TitleA Brief OverviewTransports items throughout the Health System in a safe manner following established guidelines on foot or using a vehicle. Ensure vehicle cleanliness inside and out. Schedule routine vehicle maintenance. Operates vehicles in compliance with all Federal, State and City traffic laws.$15.07-$19.58 per hour. What you will doOperate hospital provided vehiclePick up and delivery of supplies/equipment /documents/formsDeposit Bag accountabilityVehicle maintenanceWarehouse maintenancePicking and packaging supplies for transportComplies with Standards of Employee Conduct as noted in Policy and Procedure No. 45-19.Education QualificationsHigh School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) RequiredExperience QualificationsMinimum of one year relevant experience and or training in healthcare or similar role; or equivalent combination of education and experience RequiredSkills and AbilitiesAbility to read and interpret documents such as Material Safety Data Sheets, packing lists, delivery tickets, put lists, and operating procedure manuals. Ability to maintain a schedule log.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Must apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variablesThis job requires computer and systems competency in the following areas: enters data, retrieves data, assembles and organizes data, uses and analyzes data.Performs clerical and cashier functions.Physical DemandsMedium physical requirements Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
