As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide specialized respiratory care services to patients across a variety of clinical settings. Working under provider orders and in accordance with established hospital policies, procedures, and evidence-based protocols, you will assess, treat, and monitor patients with cardiopulmonary conditions while collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team. Additional Qualifications:
- Previous hospital experience preferred.
- Should be familiar with The Joint Commission standards and requirements.
- Understanding of computers.
- Good verbal and written communication skills required.
- Should be familiar with risks associated with exposure to infectious patients, needle puncture hazards, and hazards related to compressed gases.
- National Board for Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential is required upon hire or by the end of one year of employment and must be maintained throughout duration of employment. Required to have Florida Respiratory license prior to their first day of employment.
- Respiratory Therapists are required to maintain Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support or the equivalent as determined by the site of hire.
