Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to cardiac telemetry patients, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through comprehensive assessment and intervention. Adaptability to float across various medical and surgical units is essential to meet patient needs.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care to cardiac telemetry patients, monitoring vital signs and cardiac rhythms.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and safety protocols.
• Document patient status, interventions, and responses accurately in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care across units.
• Float to other medical/surgical, telemetry, and orthopedics units as needed, maintaining high standards of care.
• Respond promptly to cardiac alarms and emergency situations, providing critical interventions when necessary.

Qualifications:

• Valid registered nurse (RN) license with active state credentials.
• Proven experience in cardiac telemetry nursing or a similar acute care setting preferred.
• Ability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities.
• Flexibility to float across multiple units with confidence.
