Janitorial Cleaning Manager

Job Description Directly supervise and coordinate work activities of cleaning personnel to ensure the smooth running of premises to agreed standards and service levels. Essential Duties Supervise a team of cleaners, ensuring they know their duties and carry out their work in accordance with company procedures, practices, and health & safety regulations, to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene. Inspect work performed to verify that it meets specifications and established standards. Investigate complaints about service or equipment and take corrective action. Recommend changes that could improve service and increase operational efficiency. Perform or assist with cleaning duties as necessary. Check equipment to ensure it is in working order. Inventory stock to ensure supplies and equipment are available in adequate amounts and reorder when needed, ensuring other cleaners have the supplies they need to meet the establishment’s needs. Instruct staff in work policies, procedures, and the use and maintenance of equipment. May perform other duties as assigned. Skills and Qualifications High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Minimum 5 years supervisory/management experience, preferably in commercial real estate. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. Strong verbal and written communication skills when directing tasks. Ability to work well with a variety of different individuals both inside and outside the organization. Ability to handle multiple tasks and make decisions. Working Conditions Normal working conditions with the absence of disagreeable elements. Salary Range The expected base salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $100,000 annually. The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis, taking into account a wide range of factors including relevant skills, experience, education, and applicable licenses or certifications. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package—including health, vision, and dental insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching—this position may be eligible for additional types of compensation, such as discretionary bonuses and other short- and long-term incentives.
