Registered Nurse Operating Room

Job Summary:
This Traveling Registered Nurse (RN) role in the Operating Room at Mission Hospital’s Memorial Campus involves providing specialized perioperative care across various service lines, including general, GYN, robotics, neuro, orthopedics, plastic surgery, urology, burn, and trauma. The position requires a skilled, adaptable professional to support a fast-paced surgical environment.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and deliver preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative patient care.
• Assist surgical teams by providing sterile instrument handling and equipment management.
• Ensure adherence to all safety protocols, policies, and standards within the operating room.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the Cerner system and ensure compliance with hospital regulations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and maintain high-quality care.
• Adapt to variable schedules, including call responsibilities, and float to other departments as needed.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with a minimum of 2+ years of OR experience.
• Demonstrate broad surgical knowledge across multiple service lines.
• Possess advanced skills in procedures performed in the operating room.
• Exhibit strong critical thinking and communication skills.
• Ability to work variable shifts and cover call responsibilities.
• Maintain current certifications relevant to perioperative nursing practices.
