Engineering ManagerJoin a team that values innovation, quality, and engineering excellence.Mack Industries is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our team of precast engineers and support the continued growth of our precast concrete solutions. This role oversees the design and development of precast concrete structures while providing technical leadership across engineering, manufacturing, sales, and operations teams.The Engineering Manager plays a key role in ensuring products are designed for structural integrity, manufacturability, cost efficiency, and successful installation. This position combines engineering expertise, team leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver high-quality solutions for our customers.Essential FunctionsLead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and drafters while managing project priorities and workloadsOversee engineering design activities, including structural analysis, drawings, specifications, and technical documentationReview engineering designs to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with applicable standardsProvide technical support and solutions to Sales, Operations, Quality, Finance, and Production teamsCollaborate with Operations to improve product manufacturability, production efficiency, and installation processesPartner with Finance and Operations to maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and optimize material usageSupport the development and maintenance of product catalogs, drawings, and sales-related specificationsIdentify production challenges and implement effective engineering solutionsAssist with resolving quality concerns and customer issues through collaboration with Operations and Quality teamsEvaluate engineering systems, processes, and software to improve efficiency and sustainabilityMaintain knowledge of precast concrete technologies, industry standards, and engineering best practicesEnsure engineering certifications and technical requirements are maintainedPrepare engineering proposals, plans, specifications, reports, and project documentation as neededLeadership & CollaborationProvide technical direction, coaching, and mentorship to engineering team membersBuild strong relationships with internal teams, customers, contractors, and industry partnersLead project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation effortsPromote continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellenceCommunicate technical recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiencesQualificationsEducationBachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering requiredExperienceProgressive experience in engineering, structural design, drafting, and specification interpretationExperience with precast concrete design, manufacturing, or installation preferredPrior engineering management or leadership experience preferredExperience with infrastructure design, modeling, and regulatory complianceTechnical SkillsProficiency with engineering design and modeling softwareExperience with computer-aided drafting (CAD) systemsStrong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skillsAbility to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPointExperience with project management tools and systemsCore CompetenciesStrong leadership and team development skillsExcellent communication and collaboration abilitiesCritical thinking and complex problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentKnowledge of engineering principles, design methods, and industry standardsWork EnvironmentPrimarily office-based with occasional field visits and job site inspectionsFrequent collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, sales, and operations teamsRegular interaction with customers, contractors, and regulatory agenciesPosition may require additional hours based on project schedules and business needsPhysical RequirementsAbility to perform field inspections and job site visits as neededAbility to remain seated for extended periods while working on computers and reviewing technical documentationAbility to safely navigate manufacturing and construction environmentsWhy Join Mack Industries?At Mack Industries, we take pride in building quality precast concrete solutions while investing in our people, processes, and future.
