Respiratory Unit - Respiratory Therapist

Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 3 months of Meditech experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - HCA - Central & West TX Division.

Additional Details:

Required Credentials: - CRT accepted.

Required Skills/Experience: - Adult respiratory experience in an acute care setting.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Adult critical care experience in ICU or ED preferred.

Unit Details: - Assignments are based on volume rather than number of patients, about 35-40 per shift. - Uses GE ventilators, V60 BiPAPs, and Airvo HFNC. - Standard RT procedures include nebulizers, CPT, arterial blood gases, ventilator management, inhaled nitric oxide, bronchoscopy assistance, intubation assistance, and transporting patients on mechanical ventilation within the hospital, for example to CT/MRI.

Shift & Scheduling: - Rotating weekends — 4 weekend shifts per month. - No call required

10 days maximum time off

1 reference required from within the last 12 months

Driver’s license required

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification CRT

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
