Pavements & Materials Engineer - Technician

Communicate technical information and assistance to FPO members and public and private pavement owners through written documentation, oral presentations, and in-person events Perform field assessments, including onsite project review, pre-construction asphalt design and mixture recommendations, and post-construction evaluation Represent the interests of the asphalt paving industry before state, federal, and local government agencies and affiliated industry committees and associations Develop training and provide instruction and technical presentations Assist in developing written technical publications and articles Travel regionally and out of state as required Requirements Proficient in Microsoft Office and web-based communication tools Detail-oriented with a very strong customer focus Working knowledge of pavement design and construction, including mixture types, pavement thickness design, and pavement maintenance Excellent written, verbal, and electronic communication skills Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred Relevant work experience will be considered Working knowledge of the Ohio Department of Transportation Construction & Materials Specifications Registration in the State of Ohio as a Professional Engineer preferred Regional and out-of-state travel required Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in pavement design and construction, including mixture types and thickness design, while effectively communicating technical information to diverse audiences.
