RN - ICU

ICU Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 3x12 Hour Shifts, Every other Weekend, and Holiday required.

We are seeking a dedicated ICU Registered Nurse with at least two years of nursing experience, including a minimum of two years in an Intensive Care Unit. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and be capable of managing overflow patients as required.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs and response to treatments.
• Administer medications and perform nursing procedures within the scope of practice.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in patient and family education related to care and treatment plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a staff ICU role.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
• Must hold a valid Maryland or Compact nursing license at the time of submission.
• Charge experience and knowledge of the Community Hospital charting system preferred.

• Arterial line management
• Caring for ventilated patients
• Blood product administration
• Management of multisystem organ dysfunction and failure
• Central and PICC line management
• Management of dysrhythmias and cardiac drips
