Matrimonial & Family Law Associate Attorney
New York, NY (On-Site) | Full-Time
Salary Range: $140,000 – $160,000
Morgan Legal Group, P.C. is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join our New York City office to focus on Matrimonial and Family Law matters. This role is ideal for an attorney with 3-4 years of experience , courtroom exposure, and confidence managing active litigation in divorce and family law cases.
Responsibilities
- Draft and review pleadings, motions, stipulations, and settlement agreements
- Handle contested and uncontested divorce matters
- Manage child custody, child support, spousal support, and equitable distribution cases
- Appear regularly in Supreme Court and Family Court for conferences, hearings, and motions
- Conduct client consultations and provide case strategy
- Negotiate settlements and participate in mediation
- Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with court deadlines
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active New York State Bar license (required)
- 3-4 years of matrimonial and/or family law experience
- Strong courtroom presence and litigation skills
- Experience handling court appearances independently
- Excellent legal research, writing, and negotiation skills
- Strong organizational and communication abilities
