Registered Nurse - Pennsylvania Soldiers' and Sailors' Home

This position plays a key role in supporting the health and daily care of residents while guiding other nursing staff. As a Registered Nurse, you will perform the following duties: Nursing Care: Provide assessments, develop care plans, and coordinate resident health services Medication Oversight: Administer medications and monitor proper documentation by qualified personnel Resident Monitoring: Observe resident conditions, record daily care, and report changes to appropriate staff Leadership Support: Guide subordinates, evaluate performance, and assist with training and workflow planning Care Coordination: Complete assessments, assist with admissions, and share updates with incoming nursing staff Safety Compliance: Follow facility safety rules and report hazards or incidents to the supervisor Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment; 80 hours/biweekly Work hours are 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM Work every other weekend Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position. Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $89,882.00 (before taxes). QUALIFICATIONS

Necessary Special Requirements: This position requires active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania. All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing. Other Requirements: PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title. If you are within 60 days of graduating from a school of nursing approved by the State Board of Nursing, you are eligible to apply for this job posting. At the time of appointment to a position, you must show proof of possession of a current, valid PA temporary practice permit or PA Registered Nurse license.
