Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med-Surg Ortho, Client Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Current WI License Certifications: NIHSS, CPR/BLS Must-Have: Education verification required Description: We are seeking experienced nurses. Candidates must have a current WI license, NIHSS, and CPR/BLS certifications. This position may require travel RNs to float to other units. Candidates will be required to work every other weekend and holiday. Shifts will be 12 hours from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM. Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, standards of care, and state laws/practice acts. Documents according to standards of care. Develops, initiates, and executes a patient plan of care according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by physician and/or hospital policy, including patient and family instruction. Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance. Utilizes clinical expertise to guide other units/departments in support of the patient’s longitudinal plan of care. Utilizes critical thinking regarding patient safety and patient experience and appropriately escalates concerns to the appropriate chain of command. Holiday coverage is required.
