Summer Day Camp Counselor - Ballard Community CenterAssociated Recreation Council, in partnership with Seattle Parks & Recreation, is currently looking for individuals who wish to actively support their communities while having fun and help provide a great experience for children ages 5-12. Our summer day camps provide a fun, creative, safe, and welcoming environment for children to learn, play, and grow.We are hiring for Summer Day Camp Counselor positions for our Summer Day Camp program taking place at Ballard Community Center. These are summer seasonal, non-exempt, up to 40 hr/week positions.LOCATION: Ballard Community CenterSCHEDULEThis is a seasonal position. The hours for summer day camp are Monday-Friday between 7:00am-6:00pm (up to 35-40hrs) until Aug 27, 2025You may be asked to work at other sites as needed to cover shiftsPAY:Starting Pay Rate: $22.00/hrFull Pay Range: $22.00/hr-25.30/hr (Employee can earn up to $25.30/hr with continued employment.)KNOWLEDGE | SKILLS | ABILITIESOrganize and lead programs and activities such as arts and crafts, organized games, cultural activities, drama, music, story hour, sports, field trips, and other special projects and eventsWork with other staff to ensure the care and safety of participants at all timesMust be willing to complete training for workplace safety, summer programming training and certification in First Aid/CPR, Food Handlers Permit, HIV/AIDS blood-borne pathogens education, and STARS trainingREQUIREMENTSEighteen years of age or olderHigh School diploma/GED or transcripts of secondary educationMust have some experience working with childrenMust be willing to commit to the entire summerIf hired, must be willing to obtain Food Worker's permit, TB test, portable criminal background check, provide MMR vaccination records, copy of high school diploma or college transcriptApply now as we are actively interviewing for these roles. #J-18808-Ljbffr Associated-Recreation-Council
